Banned from the game at 3 years old just for being the best on the field.
A 3-year-old Black boy named Nevada Pierre was removed and police were called during a youth soccer match in Winter Park, Florida, after organizers and parents claimed he was dominating the game.
Nevada—playing in a league with children older than him—was possessing the ball and scoring with advanced skills.
Thomas Hayes called 911 following a heated confrontation with Nevada's parents, explaining that the toddler's skill level and style of play were considered too advanced and aggressive compared to the other young children.
Bodycam footage and viral videos of the incident sparked widespread online debate regarding youth sports participation, competitive balance, and how the situation was handled.
